Starting with just 30,000, thousand tk[1]  the current monthly sales amount is 7-8 lakh tk. SHe is earning 20-25% profit of the cell every month.  That is what Tamanna Chandni, the proprietor of the new entrepreneur “Arang” said.

She got married when she was in the ninth grade.Although she got married, but she did not give up her studies. She became a mother before the SSC exam. She became the mother of her second child after HSC.As well as take care of her family and children, she continued her studies with success.Social barriers, fear could not stop her. She successfully completed her undergraduate and postgraduate from Kobi Nazrul Government College.Chandni has started an online business in 2018.She started a business by opening a Facebook page called “Arang” with different types of jewelry. As people’s demand grows, so does the volume of orders, making the “Arang” page popular.

Due to her interest in local products, she is currently engaged in various types of embroidery work on jewelry as well as Jamdani sarees and local muslin. Chandni’s products are currently going abroad beyond the borders of the country. Growing foreign orders.[2]

Muslin sarees and jewelry designed by her page are currently in high demand in the online world. Due to her busy schedule, she is working with Desi Jewelry, Dhakai Jamdani, Desi Muslin Saree to preserve the Bengali tradition. SHe has set up a godown[3]  in her house to keep the goods. There are 10 delivery boys for product delivery.

This young entrepreneur has become self-reliant by keeping the balance of everything in the family education. Adequate reassurance was received from the family to move forward. She is running with struggle and indomitable courage to pull success. Chandni is now a familiar face among all in the society.

“My start was different,” she said of being an entrepreneur. As a student of Commerce I had a fairly good idea about business. However, as a businesswoman , I had no desire to settle my career. After graduating in 2016, I was rushing[4]  for a job but I was not getting a decent job. Then the business plan comes to mind by looking at the online business around. Suddenly at the beginning of 2016, I opened a group called Arang and started uploading pages. The name of the Arang page is basically where the women’s outfit is decorated. So I upload at night, I wake up in the morning and see the order. Basically from there my journey started slowly.

Regarding the success of the business, Chandni said, “I complete my studies as a mother of two. It was not possible for me alone to adapt to all adverse conditions. Along with my mother, father, my husband, with the help of my classmates. I don’t know if I’m successful. I may not be able to reach the desired goal yet but I am still trying. God willing, something good will happen inshaAllah.

Alhamdulillah my business has now merged with my soul. The group pages are all like my family now. It’s a real pleasure to work with new design products. My page is well known for its native muslin and native jewelry. I try to give people good quality products. ‘

Regarding the new entrepreneurs, Chandni said, “At present, many newcomers are coming into the business out of emotion, but many drop out due to lack of response. So you have to have the mentality to stick. And first of all I want patience and the ability to accept everything.

Tamanna Chandni lives in Donia area of Dhaka. She has two children, one in tenth grade and the other in fifth grade. Husband Rashed Hossain is also a businessman. Chandni is still preparing for business as well as government jobs. She is currently a prelim examinee in the 41st BCS. She is a dreamy luxury woman without taking part in the return twice.[5]

Learnings and outcomes ( self reflection): This was my first interview that I conducted with anyone as a journalism student. This project really helped me to understand how I should take an interview, what kind of questions I should ask an interviewee. Most importantly get the idea about feature writing. After i publish this feature in my blog acount i gave the link to her. She read it and appreciated my work.
