Project Description: The project is about seaside anglers’ lives and vocations battle with difficult situations. The cost of sending trawlers into the ocean has gone up as a result of the rising price of diesel oil. The anglers of Patharghata are confused as they don’t get hilsa in their nets. At the point when the ocean dismisses, the destiny of the anglers on the coast isdull. Indeed, even after the boycott of 65 days of May-June-July, their destiny was troubled. They are fleeing because they are unable to repay the NGO’s loan.
Project Justification: This investigative news project delves into the heartbreaking struggles of Patharghata’s coastal fishermen by looking at how rising diesel costs have a significant impact on their trawling operations, which are made worse by falling hilsa catches and bad sea conditions. The undertaking features the terrible fallout of the May- June-July fishing boycott, revealing insight into their frantic trip due to NGO advance weights.
